Janette Haase has had a long career in the Kingston food scene, as a market gardener, community and school garden facilitator and educator. Her 2009 book "From Seed to Table, A Practical Guide to Eating and Growing Green" is well recognized within Canada and abroad. Most recently Janette returned to school and is currently working on a PhD in Global Development Studies with a focus on sustainable, smallholder agriculture.
Dhyani Frost comes from a long line of gardeners and wildcrafters, and has been enamored with plants from a young age. 2025 will be her fourth year at Wolfe Island Gardens. Dhyani is excited to be doing this work, as it allows her to combine many of her passions, such as learning traditional land skills, teaching, and contributing to her hometown food system, AND because it engages her head, her heart, and her hands! She looks forward to sharing her knowledge with other kindred spirits.
